We’re small friendly group of local parents and volunteers with a big vision and plan. Join us in making The Children’s Allotment come to life by volunteering with us. There are several ways to get involved:
Community work-parties & workshops
In the warmer, drier months we run monthly community work-parties. All volunteers are welcome. Just show up on the day and roll up your sleeves! We anything from cutting back brambles, weaving hazel fences to creating vegetable beds…with lots of breaks for tea & biscuits! We provide tools so just come in sturdy shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy!
Watch our events page or Facebook for upcoming community work-parties and workshops
Corporate Volunteering days
We host corporate volunteering opportunities for organisations and companies wanting to support their local community. We can provide anything from a few hours to a full working day doing a variety of fun, practical outdoor activities. Groups can either go off-site for lunch or enjoy a lunch around the firepit!
We’ve hosted HSBC, Microsoft, ONI Bio, Pearsons, Earth Watch and Oxford Brookes University.
If you’re interested in booking a corporate volunteering session at The Children’s Allotment, please email us.
